Underworld threatens Sohail Khan and Vivek Oberoi

After lying low for some time, the underworld goons have once again started making their presence felt by making extortion calls to the who’s who of Bollywood.

According to the latest news, a couple of days back Bollywood actor-producer Sohail Khan, actor Vivek Oberoi and producer Ritesh Sidhwani were called by dreaded gangster Ravi Pujari.

Apparently, Vivek’s father Suresh told the Juhu police on Wednesday that they had received an intimidating call from Ravi Pujari while Sohail Khan and Ritesh Sidhwani went ahead and registered their individual complaints on September 9 with Mumbai ACP (west region) Vishwas Nangre Patil. Police confirmed that all three calls were made from international numbers.

Meanwhile, Sohail Khan and Ritesh Sidhwani have been provided police protection while Vivek Oberoi has applied for it.

Talking to a daily, an officer said, “Police teams are working on the case, and nothing can be disclosed about the investigation. We are taking all precautions and are reviewing the security of all film personalities. After the arrest of several Ravi Pujari gang members, the operations of this gang have been crippled but they are still trying to resurface.”

Ravi Pujari was earlier a member of Chhota Rajan gang and after they parted ways, Pujari has been operating on his own and is believed to be hiding somewhere in Bangkok. “Last month, another well-known producer got protection from the police after Pujari called him and four other persons from the film industry,” said a Bollywood insider.
