Renowned Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, reportedly due to a brain hemorrhage.
Hospital sources have told that Mr Singh underwent an emergency neurosurgery. A medical bulletin is likely to be released on Saturday afternoon.
Jagjit Singh has had a history of heart ailments for which he was on blood thinners, which are suspected to have triggered the damage.
The 70-year-old singer suffers from hypertension as well.
