Former India cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi remains critically ill and continues to be on a "very high level of oxygen support" at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi.
Neeraj Jain, the doctor treating the former batsman, said on Wednesday that he remained on Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) support.
"Mr Khan continues to remain critically ill in the intensive care unit. He is on very high level of oxygen support requiring intermitted BiPAP support. Mr Khan is conscious and his cardiac function remains stable. He is being monitored very closely," the senior consultant and chairman pulmonology (chest medicine) said in a statement.
Pataudi, 70, was admitted to the hospital with an interstitial lung infection on August 29 after he complained of difficulty in breathing. He was shifted to the ICU on Friday
