Indian auto fans are going to get the best cars in the world despite slowdown facing the sector. Car sales are dropping and even the market leader Maruti Suzuki is facing the music. It has seen huge fall in sales volumes in recent months. Other companies too are no exception.
But there is no sign of slowdown in the luxury segment. If there was any doubt about it, the report of a top model’s launch from Audi clears it. German auto giant Audi yesterday launched the business edition of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) Q5 2.0 TDI Quattro in the Indian market.
This is one of the best cars in the segment and would give better choice to people in India who want to have the best feel while driving.
Q5 2.0 TDI Quattro is priced at Rs.3,513,000 in Mumbai.
The Audi Q5 2.0 TDI q 1churns out 170 bhp and reaches a maximum torque of 350 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. It is equipped with a 7–speed automatic S tronic transmission, which is impressive for its short, sporty shift times and smooth gearshift across the entire spread between the shortest and the longest ratios. Having sold 3003 cars last year Audi India is looking at another successful stint in the country with the launch of the new version.
The German car giant’s India head Michael Perschke while talking to journalists said, “The Audi Q5 2.0 TDI Q is perfectly equipped to further strengthen our leadership position in the luxury SUV segment… As the Audi Q5 already has a broad fan base in India, this attractive price will now make this premium experience accessible to a wider customer base who aspire to own a luxury SUV”.
