Shahid- Anushka’s PDA at Imran Khan’s bash!

Looks like we have a new couple in Tinsel Town. Rumours are abuzz that Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma are cosying up to each other. What more, they are also planning to star in Yash Raj’s next film.
The duo had a rocky start when they first starred in YRF’s ‘Badmaash Company’. Insiders claim that they didn’t get along that well on the sets of the film. But when they met recently at actor Imran Khan’s party, they seemed to have warmed up to each other.

A tabloid also claims that the two hit it of at the party and were also seen indulging in PDA, much to the discomfort of the other guests.

Director of ‘Band Baaja Baarat’, Maneesh Sharma is probably cashing in on the new found ‘friendship’ and has decided to cast Anushka and Shahid in his next film which will be produced by YRF.

Speaking to a daily, a source informed, “The last time that Anushka and Shahid worked together was in the YRF production, ‘Badmaash Company’. Their on-screen chemistry was so convincing that many thought that it stemmed from an off-screen romance. And after watching Shahid’s performance in ‘Mausam’, YRF and Maneesh decided that Anushka and Sasha were an apt pair for the film.”

Maneesh is at present working on ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ which stars Anushka along with her ex Ranveer Singh and has simultaneously started working on the script of his next romantic comedy.

Apparently, both Shahid and Anushka are excited about the new film( but of course!) and are currently trying to adjust their dates for the same. “The film has been scripted by Jaideep Sahni, who also wrote the scripts of the three blockbusters - `Chak D`e, `Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi` and` Bunty Aur Babli`,” added the source.

When contacted, YRF spokesperson said, “Maneesh is still shooting ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’. He will complete his next script and finalise the cast after the release of `Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl`, on December 9.”

Aamir Khan bonds with Karan Johar

Aamir Khan found a new friend in his arch rival Shah Rukh Khan's closest buddy Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor spent some quality time with Anushka Sharma at Imran Khan's success party on Thursday night

While Anushka Sharma and Shahid Kapoor were spotted spending a lot of time together at Imran Khan's dual success party of Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, it was the budding of another friendship that got everyone whispering. Reportedly, Karan Johar spent most of the night in the company of Aamir Khan, his best friend SRK's rival.

Imran Khan And as with most Bollywood bashes, the cops came knocking at Imran's Pali Hill residence at 3 am to ask the host to turn down the music. But it was the new best friends, Karan and Aamir, who pacified the law men and made sure that nothing dampened the spirit of the party. With Aamir and Karan visibly bonding, the industry has been abuzz with speculation about the two collaborating professionally.

The rumour doing the rounds is that Karan plans to cast Aamir in one of his forthcoming productions.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Karan was seen huddled in a serious, private conversation with Aamir, almost all evening. Karan and Aamir were so deep in discussion that they didn't realize it was 4 am, when they left. In fact, the two along with Deepika were among the last guests to leave."

Even though all eyes were on Karan and Aamir, what also garnered attention was the absence of many on the guest list - namely Ranbir Kapoor and Imran's leading ladies in Delly Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Shernaz Tresurywallah and Poorna Jagannthan of Delhi Belly as well as Katrina Kaif of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan were all abroad for one reason or another.

While the leading ladies of the two films being celebrated were not present, Imran's other female co-stars, Sonam and Deepika , attended the bash. And of course Deepika didn't forget to bring along Mallya Jr.

Anushka Sharma, Boney Kapoor's son in YRF next

Ranveer Singh admitted on a recent television chat show that he missed Anushka Sharma 'a lot'. And also, that they have now 'drifted apart'.

With Anushka moving towards Boney and Mona Kapoor's son Arjun, the drift was inevitable. In fact, after Mumbai Mirror reported on August 26, how Arjun and Anushka were caught in a city multiplex enjoying each other's company, the young couple have been spotted painting the town red time and again.

Now, Yash Raj Films has decided to cash in on their off-screen chemistry. The production house has decided to launch a film with Arjun and Anushka in the lead roles to be directed by Do Dooni Chaar director Habib Faisal.

A source revealed, "YRF has decided to make a romantic film with Arjun and Anushka in the lead. In fact, the two young actors were recently spotted at a fine dining restaurant in Andheri discussing the film with YRF scion Aditya Chopra."

While rumours about romantic liaisons between co-stars often help in raking in the monies for the film, real life couples fail to generate the same chemistry on screen. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor for example failed to please the critics post Tashan.

"Real life couples have often failed to translate their off screen chemistry on screen. John and Bipasha sizzled in Jism. And then it was Kareena and Shahid who delivered the hit Jab We Met. But it happens rarely. Even Kareena and Saif failed to deliver in Tashan," said another source.

But Arjun and Anushka seem to share an extremely special chemistry for it not to show on screen. A source close to Arjun revealed, "Arjun is extremely close to Anushka. They care for each other a lot. Their friendship is very new but yet they look like they are extremely comfortable with each other."

"Anushka aqnd Arjun have been frequenting a multiplex in Juhu lately. Also they were spotted at many nightspots in the city. In fact, Arjun was one of the reasons of Anushka-Ranveer split," added the source.
