No wedding for Saif Kareena in 2012

Recently crowned Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan might have been earnestly wanting to get married to his ladylove Kareena Kapoor, but the pretty lass is in no hurry to tie the nuptial.

Yesterday, we had the news of Saifeena’s confirmed wedding scheduled to take place in February next year. But Bebo spoke to reporters to put all the wedding rumours to rest.

Talking to a daily, Bebo said, “Wrong! It`s great that people have set my wedding date, have designed my wedding dress and planned my honeymoon without me being aware of it! It`s flattering, but no, I`m not getting married, yet!”

The Kapoor girl, who is on a career high at the moment, has big projects in her kitty opposite and is in no mood for a ‘big fat wedding’.

Talking about her relationship with Saif, the girl said, “Saif and I are happily in love and happy with each other; we are taking our time. And I assure you, nothing - absolutely nothing - is fixed as yet: no marriage date, no marriage dress, nothing!”

Showing least inclination to get hitched with her beau Saif, Kareena spoke more about her upcoming film `Agent Vinod`.

“It`s a special film. The movie is made on a huge canvas. I am hoping it`ll be my next hit. Our fingers are crossed. We have worked so hard on it. Let`s hope the effort is worth it,” she said.

With Kareena showing minimal interest to settle down, we can only wonder what Saif must be feeling.

Wedding preparations for Saif and Kareena?

Our very own desi Brangelina, yes, Saif and Kareena are on their way to tie the knot it seems. Rumors regarding their wedding have been going around for quite some time now.

Apparently, veteran designer Ritu Kumar is working on creating Kareena’s wedding ensemble and even Saif is working on adding his share of glitter to their big day.

Chote nawab recently ordered a range of diamond rings from a jeweller based in Bandra to buy his lady the rock of love. He has reportedly bought a 4-5 carat diamond rings for Kareena.

A source revealed to a daily, “Saif had asked for a selection of diamond rings from this jeweller based out of Bandra. They sent him rings of different cuts and carats. He had asked for princess cut diamonds and also a few other shapes.”

Saif has been the flattering, loving and diamond showering beau to Bebo ever since they started dating each other in 2007. He had gifted her a one carat diamond ring in October 2007 which had paparazzi going bonkers in order to capture a picture of it on Kareena’s finger.

“Kareena and Saif are ready to tie the knot in February next year. In fact, Saif had started ordering various designs of rings for a while now. He took his time deciding on the perfect ring for his girl and finally took the one he liked about a week back,” revealed the source to the tabloid.

It’s obvious why Kareena is so much in love with Saif. He has everything it takes to have a woman go head over heels for him, in a recent interview she said, “Of course, I want to marry Saif. Doesn`t every woman want to take her relationship to the next level? Saif and I are definitely going to marry.”

The actress had confidently quoted to a daily, “I am a lucky girl. There is love, so there can never be any infidelity.”

Though Saifeena have been quiet about their wedding plans and dates but with Ritu Kumar working on the bride’s dress and Saif buying the ring its evident the day is not too far.

Aishwarya Rai miffed with Kareena Kapoor?

Madhur Bhandarkar might have forgotten the Aishwarya Rai episode and gleefully signed his original choice Kareena Kapoor for ‘Heroine,’ but all is not well with the Bachchan bahu.

Apparently, Aishwarya is mighty upset with Kareena for stepping in her shoes and accepting ‘Heroine.’ Even though Aishwarya returned the signing amount of the film, she asked the producers not to use her stills from the week-long shoot of the flick so as to have a complete closure of the project.

However, Madhur approaching Kareena became a major bone of contention between the two actresses.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “Ash is rumoured to be upset with Bebo. Just the fact that Bebo decided to walk into a project that Ash was meant to resume post her maternity leave is reportedly the reason for the stress.”

When contacted, Kareena feigned ignorance and said, “Madhur and the film corporation were very keen that I should be in ‘Heroine.’ The film was written for me originally.”

On Day 1 Salman Khan's Bodyguard grossed Rs20 cr

Salman Khan has done it again. After Wanted and Dabangg, both of which released around Eid in 2009 and 2010 respectively and were box office hits, the actor’s third straight Eid release, Bodyguard, has struck box office gold too. Beating all estimates, which pegged the film to open in the Rs16-18crore range, Bodyguard grossed around Rs20crore on Wednesday, the highest ever for a film on a single day.

“It’s unprecedented. Even hardcore optimists could not have imagined the film would cross the Rs20crore mark,” says trade analyst Taran Adarsh, adding that according to the collections tracked by him, the first day net collections should be around Rs20.25crore. “This is not just a record for the biggest opening-day gross, but also the biggest gross for a single day ever.”

The previous record, he says, was held by Dabangg, which had grossed Rs18 crore on Eid last year, on a Sunday. What this means is that there are chances that Bodyguard might better its opening day collection this Sunday.

Prakhar Joshi, head of programming at PVR Cinemas, says the film opened well in all of the multiplex chain’s 35 properties.

“Dabangg had grossed Rs1.42 crore on a single day from all our properties, the highest ever. We expect Bodyguard to have easily grossed over Rs2 crore,” says Joshi, adding that the film might perform even better over the weekend.

Interestingly, critics don’t seem to have been too kind to the film, while the response among audiences has been mixed.

Manoj Desai of G7 multiplex in Bandra says that all shows of the film are booked right till Monday, which is unprecedented. “The film has obviously benefited from the long weekend, with Eid on Wednesday and Ganesh Chaturti on Thursday, but even then it’s quite a feat. Sadly, reactions have been mixed. So, it remains to be seen if the collections hold up after Monday,” says Desai.

Bodyguard, directed by Siddique, is a remake of the director’s 2010 Malayalam film of the same name. The film had then been remade in Tamil as Kaavalan. Both the earlier versions were hits.

The film co-stars Kareena Kapoor and has music by Himesh Reshammiya.
